After making a brief cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2, Karl-Anthony Towns led the New York Knicks to a sweep of the Philadelphia 76ers in the playoffs.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 came out in theaters on May 1, 2026, the day after the Knicks' 51-point win over the Atlanta Hawks to advance in the playoffs. The following Monday, the Knicks started their playoff series against the 76ers.
They went undefeated, sweeping the Sixers in four games. During that stretch, KAT made nearly 62% of his shots and averaged 15.5 points, eight rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game. Bear in mind, he only averaged 23.3 minutes per game, as he routinely got into foul trouble in the games.
Towns had 18 fouls in the four games. He got especially close to fouling out in Games 3 and 4, earning five fouls in each contest. Luckily, he was never fouled out.

For the second year in a row, Towns and the Knicks will play in the Eastern Conference Finals. Their opponent is still being determined.
Currently, the Detroit Pistons hold a 2-1 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Knicks will have about a week to rest before the next round of the playoffs begins.
New York is hoping for better luck than last year. They played the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals during the 2024-25 season, and they lost in six games. The Pacers would end up losing to the eventual champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, in seven games in the NBA Finals.
During the postseason, Towns has made nearly 59% of his shots, including having a 48.3% field goal percentage on three-pointers. He has also made 89.7% of his free throws and logged 100 rebounds and 66 assists.
Like him or not, Towns is an integral part of the Knicks' success. During the 2025-26 regular season, Towns played in 75 games and averaged 20.1 points, 11.9 rebounds, and three assists per game.
