The Boston Celtics have become one of the top stories in the NBA after their exit from the playoffs, and will be a, if not the top story in the offseason.
The Celtics are looking to move on from their embarrassing blown 3-1 lead, and create a team that can win it all next season. With that in mind, getting a top superstar could be on their agenda, someone like Giannis Antetokounmpo, who they have been repeatedly linked to.

According to ESPN’s NBA insider Shams Charania, the Milwaukee Bucks are finally open to trades for Giannis.
However, they are keeping the door open for Giannis to come back if he pleases. They have a top ten pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, as well as two future first round picks, and tradeable contracts to get someone big to pair him with this offseason.
With that in mind, the Celtics will need to be ready to give up something significant, or a lot of small things in order to acquire him.

It seems like the Celtics know that, though. Charania revealed in the same report that Boston GM Brad Stevens and the Celtics were one of a few suitors who targeted Giannis at this year’s trade deadline.
Now, a little over 30 games later, the Celtics have seen what they really need to fix. And, they might know what they need to give up as well.

Jaylen Brown is the Boston star that comes to mind when creating a trade package for Giannis. Fans have made three-way trade proposals, and critics have proposed that interested teams may look for a way to make that happen.
If Brad Stevens could find a way to get Giannis without losing Brown, all the better. But it has been stated they need a better way to get to the basket, and Giannis is one of the perfect solutions to that problem.
