Arsenal will look at the summer transfer window of 2026 to make changes to their squad
Arsenal are in a massive spot as they go into the 2026 summer window, with a Champions League final to prep for and a squad that clearly needs a bit of a shake-up. If the Gunners want to keep moving forward, Gabriel Martinelli, Ben White, and Gabriel Jesus are the three names they really need to move on, and the argument for selling them is getting harder to ignore.
1. Gabriel Martinelli’s time at the Emirates is running out
Martinelli turned up as a raw, explosive talent from Brazil and looked like a world-beater for a while. But those days feel like a long time ago. The 24-year-old has only managed nine Premier League starts since the 2025–26 season kicked off, and his creative numbers have tanked from 1.57 to 0.96 chances per game.
Barcelona are keeping a close eye on him, and Arsenal have slapped a £50 million price tag on his head, which is decent money for a player heading into his final contract year. Cash-in now makes sense for the books and lets Martinelli find the regular minutes he’s missing.
2. Ben White no longer fits the system
White has struggled for minutes ever since Jurrien Timber recovered from his ACL injury and locked down that right-back spot. There’s no doubt White has quality and plenty of Premier League experience, which is exactly why other clubs will want him. Keeping him around just to sit on the bench is a waste of his talent and takes up a squad spot that Arteta could use elsewhere. Selling him this summer is just smart business for everyone involved.

3. Gabriel Jesus is struggling to find his old form
With only five goals in 21 games this season, Jesus is well behind Viktor Gyokeres and Kai Havertz in the rotation. It’s hard to see where he fits in for the 2026–27 campaign. Constant injury setbacks seem to have stripped away the momentum he once had.

Arsenal have to be careful with their finances and need to clear out some senior wages to bring in new elite talent, which makes Jesus the obvious choice to leave. Selling him while he still has some market value gives the club more flexibility and gives Jesus a chance to restart his career as a guaranteed starter.
Arsenal have to be clinical this summer. Clearing out these three would bring in fresh funds, trim the fat from the squad, and give the team the best possible chance at a serious title run next year.
