The Oklahoma City Thunder are poised to sweep the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. Meanwhile, Jalen Williams, who's battling a hamstring injury, is taking some time out to focus on something else of sorts.
He was asked by Richard Jefferson to list out his Mt. Rushmore of Jalens. When doing so, he left out one particular Jalen, per NBA TV.
He mentioned Jalen Rose, Jalen Brunson, Jalen Johnson, and himself. But he didn't mention Jaylen Brown because of the spelling, nor Jalen Duren.

There could be many reasons Williams would leave Duren out. One of which could be the contrast in playing styles. While the other Jalens are known for being playmakers, Duren, one of the best rebounders, doesn't put up the offensive numbers the others do.

That also includes Williams. Williams is a versatile guard-forward averaging close to 20.5 points this postseason while shooting 48% from the field. Meanwhile, Duren averaged 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
Both Williams and Duren came up together in the 2022 NBA Draft. In addition to his versatility, Williams possesses a strong basketball IQ and ability to run the offense with Shai-Gilgeous-Alexander. Duren has been a catalyst in the Pistons' revitalization into a playoff-worthy team, particularly in his role in the paint and on the glass.
Both are anticipated to grow into their roles as time goes on.
While the Thunder are looking to sweep the Lakers and repeat as NBA Champions, the Pistons are down 2-1 to the Cleveland Cavaliers with Game 4 on Monday night.
