LeBron James hasn't announced his retirement yet, but if he played his final game, he certainly made sure to achieve another milestone following the Los Angeles Lakers' Game 4 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night.
James completed the 23rd season of his legendary career, his eighth with the Lakers. This marked the 19th postseason throughout his time in the league, continuing to shine as one of the best stars in the league at age 41.
In 40 minutes of action, James shined with another solid game to look back on. He finished with a stat line of 24 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, and a block. He shot 8-of-18 from the field, including 2-of-6 from beyond the arc, and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line.
This allowed him to obtain the 20th 20-point double-double of his playoff career, per ESPN Insights. As a result, he tied with NBA legend Wilt Chamberlain for the most in that historic category.

LeBron James' efforts will go down in history even though the Lakers' campaign came to an end after losing in a four-game sweep to the Thunder.
Steals and turnovers made the difference in this matchup. The Thunder prevailed in both categories after making 12 steals and limiting their turnovers to just 12. It wasn't the same for the Lakers after they recorded three steals and turned the ball over 19 times.
Four players scored in double-digits for Los Angeles in the loss, including James. Austin Reaves led the team with 27 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and two blocks. He shot 8-of-16 overall, including 3-of-7 from downtown, and 8-of-9 from the charity stripe. Rui Hachimura came next with 25 points and five rebounds, while Jaxson Hayes provided 18 points and five rebounds.
The Lakers enter the offseason with plenty of questions, especially about James. He will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, making his decision to potentially retire or embrace a 24th season an intriguing one.
