Dwyane Wade unveils LeBron James' timeline for staying with Lakers or retiring

A lot of people in the association can claim to know LeBron James but only a few are closest to him. Dwyane Wade is arguably one of those people and he might know when the Los Angeles Lakers star decides between retirement, free agency, or staying with this current squad. The Miami Heat legend laid all of this out after the fourth-seeded team in the Western Conference got eliminated.

Wade unveils James' possible decision timeline

The Lakers have a lot of work to do so that they get LeBron James to come back. Other squads are already making their pitches for James to join them through free agency instead. Some also still think that James ending his career after his 23rd year will become increasingly likely. While all of these moves and speculations run, Dwyane Wade certainly knows that it will take James some time before he announces a big move.

The Heat legend outlined that the Lakers superstar will take some time off first prior to making a big call about his career, via Devon Henderson of The Athletic.

"That’s the question. I think, if we all know LeBron James, he’s gonna take some time off and go drink some wine. He’ll go out a little bit around the world, but he’s gonna spend some time with his family. He’s gonna sit down and try to make the best decision for the James family at the end of the day," Wade declared.

James and Wade have been through a lot. They were drafted in 2003 and have been close with one another given that they grew up at the same time. Both went on big runs with Team USA basketball before joining forces to win two championships with the Heat and a final run in the Cleveland Cavaliers system. If there is anyone who knows the Lakers superstar the most, it is the Heat legend.
