According to El Chiringuito, negotiations between PSG and Atlético Madrid are already underway over a possible deal for Álvarez.
It is understood that Luis Enrique has held direct talks with the Argentine over a potential move to Ligue 1 this summer.
Meanwhile, Argentine journalist Gastón Edul claims PSG are prepared to go all out to secure the striker’s signature.
French reporter Julien Laurens of ESPN also reports that Álvarez has been identified as one of PSG’s priority targets ahead of next season.
The Ligue 1 giants are expected to submit an initial offer in an attempt to test Atlético Madrid’s resolve.
Álvarez’s current contract at the Estadio Metropolitano runs until the summer of 2030.
