Jason Collins, NBA's first openly gay active player, dies after brain cancer battle
According to his family, The 47-year-old died from stage 4 glioblastoma, dying at home. Collins announced he was gay in a 2013 Sports Illustrated interview. He played for 13 years in the NBA.
