The Minnesota Timberwolves got a big win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of their second-round series, but they were unable to back it up in Game 5. The Spurs controlled the game from start to finish in front of their home fans on Tuesday night and eventually ran away with a 126-97 win to take a 3-2 lead in the series.
Victor Wembanyama missed most of Game 4 after being ejected for throwing an elbow in the second quarter, but he made up for lost time in Game 5. The Spurs superstar made his impact felt with 16 of San Antonio's first 24 points, and he never let up.
