San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama became just the fourth player in NBA history to record at least 25 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 assists in a playoff game at age 22 or younger.
San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama achieved another historic feat during his first NBA playoff run.
Wembanyama led the Spurs to a crucial 126-97 Game 5 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, finishing with an impressive 27 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 blocks. With that performance, he joined an exclusive group of legends who recorded a 25-15-5 stat line in a playoff game at age 22 or younger.
He joined Lakers superstar Luka Doncic, along with Lakers legends Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, as the only players to accomplish the feat at that age.
Among them, he is the third-youngest to do it at 22 years and 128 days old, trailing Magic Johnson, who achieved it at 20 years and 276 days old, and Luka Doncic, who did it at 21 years and 177 days old.
San Antonio now holds a 3-2 series lead and is just one win away from reaching the Conference Finals for the first time in nearly a decade.
Game 6 of the second-round playoff series will be played Friday in Minnesota.
