UEFA have confirmed they have fined Atletico Madrid €150,000 (£130,000) for throwing toilet roll onto the pitch before their Champions League semi-final first leg draw with Arsenal.

Ahead of kick-off, supporters launched the toilet paper from the stands to create a scene and crank up the atmosphere inside the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.

However, those actions have now landed Atleti a six-figure fine, according to a UEFA press release.

It read, revealing a breach of UEFA regulations: "Atletico Madrid have been fined €15,000 for Throwing of objects, Art. 16(2)(b) DR in the match in Spain against Arsenal."

Viktor Gyokeres opened the scoring on the night from the penalty spot before Julian Alvarez also struck from 12-yards to level the scores before the second meeting in London.

The Gunners then won the second leg 1-0 at the Emirates Stadium less than a week later when Bukayo Saka struck a first-half winner in N5.

Earlier in the knockout stages, Arsenal were also punished by UEFA after their travelling supporters allegedly lit flares in Leverkusen before the 1-1 draw with Bayer 04.

They were ordered to pay in the region of €2,250 (£1,947) for the "lighting of fireworks."

In the quarter-finals, Sporting CP were also fined €2,750 (£2,380) after their supporters threw objects from the stands.

Meanwhile, Arsenal's Champions League final opponents PSG have a number of injury problems to contend with ahead of their meeting with the Gunners in Hungary.

A number of first-team players, including Achraf Hakimi, Willian Pacho, Nuno Mendes, Warren Zaire-Emery, Lucas Chevalier and Lee Kang-in have not travelled to Lens this evening for the club's penultimate Ligue 1 fixture.

If PSG avoid defeat, they will be crowned champions with one match to play. It's safe to say Luis Enrique is already thinking about the Champions League final because PSG's goal difference is also hugely superior to Lens'.

It means even if they lose their final two games, there would need to be a drastic 15-goal swing which is highly unlikely.

Arsenal are also waiting to discover if Jurrien Timber can play again this season after Ben White was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with a knee injury sustained against West Ham.

Mikel Merino also remains sidelined while Riccardo Calafiori is said to have picked up an injury on Sunday against West Ham.
