The San Antonio Spurs moved within one game of advancing to the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday evening with a blowout home win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. This game was actually quite competitive for the first two and a half quarters, but San Antonio broke the game open from there, and now needs just one more win to eliminate Minnesota.
Recently, a Spurs fan went viral for all the wrong reasons when another fan videotaped her texting someone about the “Crazy Hispanic” fans in attendance at a game, and on Tuesday, the Spurs' mascot, Coyote, spoofed the moment in an attempt to rile up the fans at Game 5.

The Spurs turned in a dominant performance on Tuesday in a near must-win game, with Victor Wembanyama taking full advantage of his controversial non-suspension in the aftermath of Game 4 to torch the Timberwolves in Game 5, scoring 18 points in the first quarter alone, 16 of which came within the first six minutes of action.
The Spurs have looked like the deeper and more talented team throughout this series, but they'll still need to put forth another strong effort in order to eliminate a Minnesota team that is no stranger to deep playoff runs, having made the last two Western Conference Finals, including overcoming a 3-2 deficit in similar fashion back in 2024 against the Denver Nuggets.
In any case, both teams will now have an extra day of rest before the next time they hit the floor, as Game 6 of the Timberwolves vs Spurs series is slated to get underway on Friday evening at 9:30 pm ET.
