Bulls Fans Shouldn't Cry If NBA Analyst's Draft Prediction Comes True

The Chicago Bulls are heading into a very lucky 2026 NFL draft after selecting the No. 4 pick in the draft lottery. Now, the franchise secured two Top 15 picks in the draft, and they have the highest projected cap space in the NBA.

For that No. 4 pick, the Bulls have consistently been linked to North Carolina standout Caleb Wilson. The six-foot-10 “big man” is considered a top draft prospect thanks to his powerful athleticism, versatility and maturity, even at just 19 years old.

But, as the draft approaches, the Chicago Bulls are starting to get linked to another player.

Duke (Blue Devils Gear) standout Cameron Boozer has largely been projected to go at No. 3 in the draft, but NBA analysts are starting to move him down to No. 4.

In a Monday, May 11 piece for CBS Sports, Gary Parrish pairs Boozer with the Bulls.

“Boozer has low bust-potential, I think, given how he’s never not been awesome in a way that impacts winning at every level at which he’s played,” he states in the piece, adding that the player was the national high school player of the year in 2026 and national college player of the year in 2026.

Parrish also notes that “there are no shortage of accolades connected to Boozer. That said, some do worry that his star-potential is also low in part because he’s mostly a below-the-rim forward who can struggle with the type of size and athleticism he’ll consistently face in the NBA. As always, we’ll see.”

My Analysis: Chicago Bulls Fans Shouldn’t Be Disappointed If They Get Cameron Boozer

If you’re a Bulls fans crying in your cereal over the idea of missing out on Wilson, I get it. But, here’s the thing: Wilson and Boozer are both fantastic players. They’re just very different players. So, this is a win-win situation.

Boozer has star potential, not that Wilson doesn’t, but if the Bulls take Boozer at No. 4, they could make him the face of the franchise and build around him. So, whether the Bulls get Wilson or Boozer with their No. 4 selection, it’s an exciting time to be a Chicago Bulls fan.
