The New York Knicks are flying high through the playoffs at the moment.
What if that journey comes to a screeching thud before they hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy, though? Maybe it means the Knicks would take a big swing at an improvement.
That big swing could look like LeBron James.
Sports talk host Nick Wright believes that there's a path for the Knicks to get LeBron, and he believes it also involves Mikal Bridges.
"Say the Knicks make the NBA finals and just get waxed in the finals, lose in five and it's bad, then I do think a LeBron-Mikal Bridges sign & trade could make a lot of sense for a lot of people," Wright said in an appearance on Wednesday with Bomani Jones.

A sign-and-trade isn't an idea that has been brought up much for LeBron, but it'd have compelling potential for the Lakers.
Instead of losing James for nothing, they'd get a bit of value back for him while also making it slightly easier for a team like the Knicks to end up with the player they want.
For James, it'd be a cool final chapter in the NBA. A full season of King James taking the floor in Madison Square Garden would be pretty awesome.

James has had some big games in the 'Mecca' before, and now he'd have a chance to do it again even in his advanced age.
If it cost Bridges in the process, that'd likely be worth the price of doing this business, but the Lakers would appreciate adding a two-way player like that.
Lots of teams will want LeBron, but the suggestion here is to not write off the Knicks in the pursuit of James.
