NBA Analyst Explains Why Celtics Are 'Obvious' Fit For Giannis Antetokounmpo

As Jaylen Brown and Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors have heated up over the last week, NBA fans and analysts have debated whether Giannis is a good fit for the Boston Celtics given his age and skill set.

While the two-time NBA MVP doesn't shoot 3-pointers, NBA analyst Jason Timpf still thinks the Celtics are the ideal landing spot for him.

"I think the obvious place is the Boston Celtics, and I'm nervous as to whether or not they'd even consider going this route," Timpf said on "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd this week. "You have this opportunity to partner this rim pressuring defensive monster with Jayson Tatum, who's a great shooter and playmaker... Kinda rectifies two of the Celtics' biggest weaknesses."

Boston's first-round playoff loss to the Philadelphia 76ers exposed several glaring weaknesses, including lack of size and interior scoring. Giannis would help solve both of those issues.

Meanwhile, Brown is a proven superstar, an NBA champion and an MVP candidate, making him part of a good return for Milwaukee.

Time will tell if Brad Stevens seriously pursues Giannis or another big move this offseason, but the potential to bring Giannis to Boston is certainly intriguing and would help the team's title chances for the next few years.
