The Philadelphia 76ers had their postseason run cut by the New York Knicks in the second round, and some people were more worried about the postgame interview than the actual game. Joel Embiid brought his child to the press conference, and it was apparently a problem for Nick Wright.
The sports personality has not always had the best takes about sports, but some couldn't let him get away with this one, such as Paul Pierce.
“First off Nick Wright says the most ridiculous things,” Piece said on No Fouls Given. “Period. I mean, I’m not a fan. He knows it. You know, he says some of the most ridiculous things because he’s pissed off. Suddenly, this is something that the players have been doing this for decades. Like decades. Now, it’s a problem somebody lose and have their kids up there. It’s okay when you win now.

“Few weeks ago he called a kid a clown. Like come on though. What is sports reporting? What is this? Like what really is he talking about? Like seriously, bro. I can’t stand this dude.”
It has been hot take palooza for Wright recently, as he did call LaMelo Ball a clown. Lonzo Ball came to his brother's defense on social media and called him out, but more people were not fans of what he said.
The notion with his take about Embiid is that bringing a kid on the podium with him makes the media go lighter on him. Danny Green, who is also on the show, said that reporters shouldn't be scared of asking their questions, especially since the kid probably can't comprehend what's going on.
This won't be the last of Wright's hot takes, and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him clap back at Pierce for his comments.
