Dan Woike, the Lakers' correspondent for The Athletic, dismissed Bill Reiter's claim that both LeBron James and Luka Doncic "don't get along very well."
As the 2025-26 NBA season officially ends for them following a second-round postseason sweep by the OKC Thunder, multiple reports have instantly emerged around the Los Angeles Lakers.
Apparently, many have raised their eyebrows and started speculating about LeBron James and Luka Doncic's relationship after NBA reporter Bill Reiter claimed that both superstars “don’t get along very well” in LA.
In the wake of fans buzzing around this revelation by Reiter, Dan Woike subsequently denied the report. The Lakers' correspondent for The Athletic simply dismissed the claim on X (formerly Twitter).
Woike's post can be viewed below, as well as Reiter's statement about LeBron and Doncic.
Back in January, the 41-year-old superstar made it clear to everyone that Doncic is the current centerpiece of the Lakers.
"Luka doesn't need to bend his game," James notably said. "He's our 26-year-old franchise player, so it's up to us to bend our game around him."
It remains to be seen whether LeBron will remain as Doncic's teammate, considering his impending free agency status and uncertainty with the franchise. Yet, regardless of what might happen in the offseason, both players clearly established a solid bond throughout their time in LA.
