Swain hasn't informed Texas of his decision to remain in the draft, a source close to the situation told Horns247's Chip Brown.
Early entrees have until 5 p.m. ET on June 13 to withdraw their name from the NBA Draft and return to college.
Swain is coming off an impressive first season with Texas, earning SEC Newcomer of the Year honors after leading Texas in scoring (17.3 ppg), rebounding (7.5 pg), assists (3.6 pg), steals (1.6 pg) and minutes played (32.8 pg).
The junior began his collegiate career with Xavier, where he spent his first two seasons before transferring to Texas last offseason.
After appearing primarily as a reserve during his true freshman campaign, Swain earned a role in the starting lineup as a sophomore for Sean Miller's club.
Swain averaged 11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals, capped by a 27-point, eight-rebound, three-steal game in Xavier's NCAA Tournament first-round loss to Illinois.
With the Musketeers, Swain appeared in 63 games (36 starts) and averaged 8.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists, before his breakout campaign with the Longhorns.
Following Texas' 79-77 season-ending loss to Purdue in the Sweet 16, Swain spoke with Horns247, where he noted needing time to make a decision whether to turn pro or return for his senior season.
"Not really, I'm still processing the loss," Swain said. "It's a really tough loss, especially considering the journey we had just to get here."
Texas basketball has reshaped the roster with an impressive transfer portal haul for head coach Sean Miller and the program.
Texas has added guards Isaiah Johnson (Colorado), Mikey Lewis (St. Mary's) and Amari Evans (Tennessee) along with forwards David Punch (TCU), Elyjah Freeman (Auburn).
247 Sports and CBS Sports National College Basketball Writer Isaac Trotter believes the Longhorns' additions have made them one of the top programs of the offseason.
"Texas is one of the biggest winners of the offseason, their roster looks so much better now than it did a year ago and that's the beauty of the transfer portal," Trotter said.
"If you're heading into the Southeastern Conference next year, it's Florida, Texas and everybody else in basketball You're starting to think about Texas as a top-10 team in the country."
Punch led the Horned Frogs in points (14.1), rebounds (6.8) and blocks (1.9) per game, powering TCU to an NCAA Tournament berth last season, while Johnson emerged as a freshman to lead Colorado with 16.9 points per game on 48.6% shooting from the field and 37.8% from three, while adding 2.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists.
Punch and Johnson's additions serve to fortify a Longhorns' roster which returns center Matas Vokietaitis, along with the arrivals of incoming freshmen Austin Goosby, Joe Sterling, Bo Ogden and Coleman Elkins.
