Allen Graves reveals 2 schools trying to influence NBA Draft decision

It's officially NBA Draft season as the NBA combine is in full swing this week. Whole most of the eyes were on AJ Dybantsa and Darryn Peterson, especially after the Washington Wizards and the Utah Jazz won the top two picks in the lottery, there are plenty of players worth keeping an eye on.

One of those players is former Santa Clara star Allen Graves. The standout forward is a potential lottery pick and saw his draft stock skyrocket late in the season on a very good Broncos team that earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament.

Graves is a young prospect, having just played his freshman season in 2025-26, so he still has plenty of college eligibility remaining. Like many of the other players going through the draft process, he can still withdraw his name from the draft and return to school. On Wednesday at the NBA combine, Graves mentioned LSU and Duke as two schools that have talked to him about potentially heading back to school and transferring next season.

“Former Santa Clara forward Allen Graves says the only two schools he’s had conversations with are LSU and Duke. He added that Kentucky has reached out to his agents, but Duke and LSU were his top two,” Borzello wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Graves said he would prefer to stay in the NBA draft if he’s a first-rounder.”

The 6-foot-9 forward is a versatile offensive player who can make plays as a scorer and a playmaker all over the floor. Last season, he averaged 11.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting better than 41.3% from the 3-point line.

That type of shooting ability, especially at his size, has become very important in the NBA in recent years. That is part of what has helped Graves' draft stock continue to rise and rise over the last few months. Now, especially after getting confirmed he will likely stay in the draft if he is a first-rounder, it's looking very likely that he will hear his name called in June.
