JB Bickerstaff rips Jarrett Allen no-foul call on Ausar Thompson: 'It's clear'

Jarrett Allen appeared to have tripped Ausar Thompson in the final seconds of Game 5, as the possible foul call would have given the Pistons the lead and victory via free throws.

JB Bickerstaff believes the officials didn't blow their whistles necessarily on the contact made by Jarrett Allen against Ausar Thompson in the final seconds of Game 5 regulation between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Detroit Pistons.

Addressing the controversial incident following their 117-113 overtime loss, the Pistons coach offered his grievances about the no-foul call on Allen.

“He fouled Ausar," Bickerstaff said. "It’s clear. He trips him when he’s going for a loose ball in a game situation.

"That’s tough.”

The highly controversial no-call occurred at the end of the fourth quarter with the score tied at 103-103. Thompson made an incredible defensive play by blocking Donovan Mitchell's potential game-winning shot.

As Thompson secured the loose ball, Jarrett Allen made contact with Thompson's foot, causing him to trip and crash to the floor as time expired.

Because the Pistons were already in the bonus, a foul call would have sent Thompson to the free-throw line for game-winning shots. Instead, the missed call forced the game into overtime, where the Cavaliers ultimately won.

The frustration of the Pistons from Thompson and Bickerstaff was glaring right after the play.
