Mo Salah will be available for Liverpool’s trip to Aston Villa, with Arne Slot confirming the Egyptian has returned to training this week.
Salah has missed the last two games with a minor hamstring injury sustained in the win over Crystal Palace, but was always expected to return before the end of the season.
The 33-year-old will bid farewell to the club next week, but the trip to Villa Park will mark his final away match as a Liverpool player.
In his press conference on Thursday, Slot told reporters: “Mo will be available tomorrow for only a few minutes. But, hopefully, he can come in.”
Jeremie Frimpong has started on the right wing in Salah’s absence, leaving Curtis Jones to continue at right-back.
The Dutchman has struggled to have an influence in Liverpool’s attack, but will be expected to remain in the XI with Salah not ready to immediately return to the lineup.
Alisson is back in Liverpool training
“Trained with us again, let’s see where he is tomorrow. If he’s ready already or has to wait for one more week,” Slot said.

On the No. 7, Slot explained: “Florian had a stomach infection, so let’s see how fit he is for tomorrow. He’s on antibiotics, so let’s see if he’s ready to play tomorrow.”

As for the centre-back, Slot said: “Ibou is okay. Trained with us.”
Liverpool can clinch Champions League football with a win against Aston Villa, while a draw would also be good enough if Bournemouth then fail to win at Man City on Tuesday.
