Brooks spoke about Wembanyama’s incredible talent, saying that once the French star reaches his peak and wins his first MVP award, we might not see another player claim the honor until he retires.
"Once Wemby gets his first, you probably won't see anybody else get one," Brooks said. "His numbers are gonna go up."
Wembanyama has been dominant this season, winning his first Defensive Player of the Year award while averaging 24.4 points, 11.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.2 blocks per game.
He is currently leading the Spurs to a 3-2 series lead in the second round against the Minnesota Timberwolves in his first-ever playoff appearance.
