Arne Slot has confirmed that Mohamed Salah is ready to return to the Liverpool squad at Aston Villa.

And the Reds boss also said that Florian Wirtz and Alisson Becker will be assessed before their own potential comebacks in the penultimate fixture of the campaign on Friday evening (8pm kick-off).

Salah has missed the last two matches after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on April 25 but is in line to feature at Villa Park ahead of an emotional afternoon at Anfield next Sunday when the Egyptian makes his final Liverpool appearance, against Brentford.

Slot said Salah is vying for a recall but stated the 33-year-old won't start the game as the Reds look to secure Champions League qualification with a win against Unai Emery's Europa League finalists.

"Ibou Konate (who came off against Chelsea last weekend with cramp) is okay, he trained with us. Mo will be available tomorrow for only a few minutes, but hopefully he can come in," Slot said.

"Alisson trains with us again today. Let's see where he is tomorrow. Let's see if he can come in. So let’s see where he is tomorrow if he can play or wait for one more week.

"Florian has a stomach infection, so let’s see how fit he is. He is on antibiotics, so let's see if he is ready to play tomorrow."

Slot was also asked about speculation linking Alisson with a summer move to Juventus, who are keen on taking the Brazil No.1 to Serie A for next season.

Reports this week claimed Alisson has agreed terms with Juve ahead of an end-of-season exit, but Slot refused to comment on the claims.

The Dutch coach added: "It's a boring, same old answer. So I am reading the same things as you are probably but it is not something I will talk about over here.

"You can ask as many times as you want, in different ways, but my answer will be the same. I think our fans need to support Alisson if it's his first or last game. That is what they have always done with all of our players.

"If he is in goal tomorrow, our fans will support him tomorrow and if he is in goal next week, our fans will support then and the same goes for next season."
