David Raya, Gabriel and Declan Rice are the three Gunners picks, with Manchester United’s sole representative their captain.
Fernandes was last week named player of the season by the Football Writers’ Association (FWA).
Manchester City pair Erling Haaland and Antoine Semenyo, who spent the first half of the season at Bournemouth, are also nominated, with Brentford forward Thiago and Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White completing the list of eight.
