Liverpool return to action on Friday night at Aston Villa as they continue their bid to qualify for next season's Champions League. The Reds dropped points at home to Chelsea last time out, but are close to ensuring a top-five finish.

Arne Slot's side could seal their return to Europe's elite competition with all three points at Villa Park (8pm). If Liverpool fail to win in Birmingham this week, they can still qualify for the Champions League in their final game of the season at home to Brentford on Sunday, May 24 (4pm).

Slot still has several injury concerns to deal with going into Friday's game. Florian Wirtz will be assessed before the fixture, but Mohamed Salah should be fit to play some role against Unai Emery's team.

Elsewhere, Alisson Becker may be back in goal with the Brazilian returning to training. Below is the latest injury news and return dates for Liverpool's players...

Mohamed Salah

Liverpool announced in an official update that Salah would play again this season. Slot confirmed as such in his injury update on Thursday - revealing that he is available for a few minutes against Villa.

What Slot has said: "Salah is available for a few minutes but hopefully can come in."

Potential return date: Villa (A) - Friday, May 15.

Florian Wirtz

Wirtz will be assessed before Friday's fixture after suffering a stomach infection.

What Slot has said: “Stomach infection, so let’s see how fit he is for tomorrow. He’s on antibiotics. Let’s see if he’s ready to play tomorrow.”

Potential return date: Villa (A) - Friday, May 15.

Alisson Becker

Liverpool could welcome Alisson back into the starting XI on Friday, but Slot has stated that is not guaranteed.

What Slot has said: “Alisson trains with us again, let’s see where he is tomorrow, if he is ready already or has to wait one more week.”

Potential return date: Villa (A) - Friday, May 15.

Ibrahima Konate

Konate is fit after being taken off in the second half against Chelsea last weekend.

What Slot has said: “Ibou is OK, trained with us.”

Potential return date: Villa (A) - Friday, May 15.

Wataru Endo

Liverpool are hoping to have Endo back in the final few games of the season with the midfielder undergoing ankle surgery earlier this year.

What Slot has said: "Endo is starting to go out, not with the team, but he is starting to do exercises outside with the rehab team. He will not be available next week or the week after. We are hoping for him to be back at the end of the season

Potential return date: Villa (A) - Friday, May 15.

Hugo Ekitike

Ekitike has been ruled out for the remainder of the season and this summer's World Cup due to a serious Achilles injury.

What Slot has said: "The surgery went well, but in such a long rehab process, there are so many steps that need to be made. Experts will tell you this will take multiple months, and then it depends on the steps. We don't know yet, but the first and most important step is that the surgery went well."

Potential return date: Late 2026/Early 2027.

Conor Bradley

Bradley is another out for an extended period because of a big injury, though he is more likely to return in this calendar year.

Potential return date: November/December 2026.

Giovanni Leoni

Young defender Leoni is just over seven months into his recovery from rupturing his ACL.

Potential return date: Late 2026.
