Record signing has missed last three matches.
Villa will again be without midfielder Amadou Onana for Friday’s clash with Liverpool.
The midfielder is pushing to return from a calf injury before the end of the season, with Villa still aiming to secure a top-five Premier League finish and also playing in next Wednesday’s Europa League final.
But boss Unai Emery has confirmed Onana won’t be back in time for the final home league match of the campaign against the Reds.
Both teams are level on points in the table and can confirm a top-five finish and Champions League qualification with a win.
Onana became Villa’s record signing when he joined in a £50million deal from Everton in the summer of 2024.
Despite some strong performances, the 24-year-old has experienced several periods out with injury.
He sustained his latest calf problem during the first leg of their Europa League semi-final win over Nottingham Forest last month.
Villa face Freiburg in next Wednesday’s final in Istanbul, as they look to win the club’s first major trophy for 30 years.
