Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided fitness updates on Riccardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber and Ben White. White was forced off against West Ham and has subsequently been ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Arteta remains uncertain whether Calafiori will be fit to face Burnley after he was substituted at the break at the London Stadium.

Arteta also delivered a thorough assessment of Timber's condition on Friday morning, revealing that the Dutchman has "progressed in the last few days". Mikel Merino is Arsenal's other notable absentee, with the Spaniard in a desperate race to recover before the campaign concludes.

Following Manchester City's victory over Crystal Palace on Wednesday, Arsenal can no longer clinch the title against Burnley next Monday at Emirates Stadium. However, they will be crowned champions the following day should they win and City drop points against Bournemouth.

Arteta will undoubtedly be eager to welcome back several key figures ahead of the final day showdown at Crystal Palace, with the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain looming just a week later. With that in mind, below is a look at the latest news on Arsenal's walking wounded and when each player might be fit to return.

Riccardo Calafiori

Calafiori was replaced by Cristhian Mosquera last Sunday after he "felt something", as per Arteta. The Gunners boss has since provided a fresh update on the Italian international.

Jurrien Timber

Timber still has an outside chance of featuring in Arsenal's final three fixtures despite being sidelined for the past two months. Arteta was able to offer an encouraging update on his fitness ahead of the Gunners' clash with Burnley.

"But he's obviously been out now for a while, unfortunately. He's such an important player for us. We all know that. And he's doing everything that he possibly can to help the team in any capacity. And I don't know, his leadership, his quality and how much the team needs him. He's trying everything that he can."

Ben White

Both Arsenal and Arteta have formally confirmed that White will play no part in the Burnley, Palace or PSG matches due to a knee injury. The England international will, however, avoid going under the knife.

Mikel Merino

Merino continues to recover from foot surgery carried out in February and there remains uncertainty over whether he will feature again this season.
