Senesi, who has made 124 appearances for the Cherries, has turned down four contract offers with the club but could remain in the Premier League.
The 29-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Spurs, but any move hinges on whether the north London club stay in the Premier League.
Liverpool are also understood to be in the mix for the defender as they look to bolster their back line this summer.
Senesi’s departure will come as a huge blow to Bournemouth who have seen their defence decimated over the past 12 months.

Following last summer’s exits of Illia Zabarnyi to Paris Saint-Germain, Milos Kerkez to Liverpool and Dean Huijsen to Real Mardid, the Argentine has stepped up superbly for the Cherries this term.
His partnership alongside James Hill has proved fruitful, helping the south coast side put together an impressive 16-game unbeaten run comprising of 11 Premier League clean sheets.
Their partnership has been the catalyst for what would be a historic season for the club who are on the cusp of European qualification for the first time in their history.
Bournemouth sit in sixth place in the table with Champions League qualification still a possibility for Andonin Iraola’s side.
Senesi’s defensive solidity has been a key feature of his game as has his passing out of defence having registered an impressive five assists this term.
