New Liverpool home kit will be officially launched next week

Liverpool FC will officially unveil the Reds’ new home kit for season 2026/27 next Tuesday.

It will be the second offering under the new partnership with adidas, after the kit manufacturer returned to the Reds last summer as part of a new five-year deal.

The new home kit will be released at 9am (BST) on Tuesday, May 19.

The kit, along with a new green goalkeeper strip, will be available to order immediately via LFC club stores and the official online store.

Liverpool’s home kits have been all red since 1965 and this is likely to have a similarly positive reception to the current season’s version, which saw sales rise by over 700 percent on the 2024/25 kit.

Florian Wirtz‘s No. 7 shirt was the most popular upon release, but he will have competition this year from the Reds’ probable player of the season, Dominik Szoboszlai.

Szoboszlai had the most-sold shirt back when the 2023/24 kit launched, with Mo Salah and Alexis Mac Allister second and third on the list, respectively.

Once the shirt has been released at 9am on May 19, it will be available to buy in a variety of places.

To purchase online, visit the official club website here.

The official Liverpool shop closest to you will also have the kit available to buy on release day.

Among those will be the recently-opened official shop in London. Its opening saw Liverpool become the first Premier League club to establish a retail presence on Oxford Street.

You may have noticed that this year’s kit launch comes earlier than it did in 2025.

That is because Liverpool were unable to reveal the following season’s adidas strip until their contract with Nike expired on August 1.

The new deal with adidas is reportedly worth more than £60 million per season and represents a significant increase on the previous deal.

Adidas is a brand many supporters associate with the club, as the Reds also partnered with them from 1985 to 1996 and 2006 to 2012.

The kits of 2025/26 could have been iconic given their popularity, but struggles on the pitch have meant they may not be remembered as classics.

Hopefully, next season will be different.
