Newcastle United linked with big-money moves as the transfer window grows nearer
KARIM COULIBALY: Newcastle contiinue to monitor Werder Bremen defender Karim Coulibaly. The 18-year-old has made a big impression in the Bundesliga this season and has featured for Germany's U21 side. He is also attracting interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid.
LUIS SUAREZ: United continue to be linked with Sporting Lisbon frontman Luis Suarez, with the Colombian in form in Portugal. The 28-year-old has a €70m release clause, with several clubs weighing up a summer bid.
LAMINE CAMARA:Reports in France suggest Newcastle will push for a £50m deal to bring 22-year-old Senegal international midfielder to Tyneside, with Liverpool also keen. United are said to know of competition and are keen to strike a deal with Monaco. Much could depend on what happens with Sandro Tonali.
JOE WILLOCK: Newcastle midfielder Joe Willock is a target for two Premier League clubs, with Crystal Palace and Leeds United ready to make a move for the former Arsenal man. Willock has struggled to nail down a regular first-team place, although has also recorded some impressive performances. Palace could have to replace Adam Wharton this summer and will have funds to spend.
TRANSFR ADMISSION: Eddie Howe feels Newcastle are well stocked in the striker department as things stand, ahead of the summer window. When asked if United would be in the market for a frontman, he said: "Certainly not at the moment because, in terms of striker, we’ve got healthy numbers in that position. It’s been a challenge for us trying to find the right balance and trying to find a way to continually score goals and create the amount of chances that he want to."
