Liverpool is one of England’s most iconic football clubs, competing in the Premier League and European competitions like the UEFA Champions League. Known for its attacking style, legendary players, and passionate fanbase, Liverpool has a rich history of domestic league… Read More about LIVERPOOL
Liverpool are searching for a new right-sided attacker in place of Mohamed Salah. The winger Rayan from Bournemouth can be a possible target for the Reds ahead of the summer transfer.
Rayan at Bournemouth Continues to Impress
Rayan only joined Bournemouth earlier this year from Vasco, but he has already made a big impact in the Premier League. Even though he is only 19-years-old, he plays with confidence and energy every time he steps onto the pitch.
Rayan’s numbers in the season 2025-26, as per WhoScored:
Competition Appearances Goals Assists
Premier League 13 5 2
These numbers are impressive for a teenager who arrived in England only a few months ago. Fans have quickly noticed how dangerous he can be when running at defenders. Jermain Defoe, former Premier League striker, praised him and said, “He remind of Gareth Bale, he plays so effortlessly,” as per SkySportsFootball.
One reason people admire Rayan so much is his bravery on the ball. He enjoys taking on defenders instead of passing backwards. He also works hard for his team and keeps pressing opponents during games. That attitude has helped him settle into life at Bournemouth very quickly.
According to EPL Index, Liverpool are searching for fresh attacking options after major changes in their squad. Mohamed Salah is leaving after the 2025/26 season and Hugo Ekitike is dealing with a long injury problem.
Because of that, the Reds manager Arne Slot wants more speed and creativity in wide positions Rayan fits that style well. He is left-footed and likes to cut inside from the right wing. That movement creates space and gives defenders difficult problems to solve. His quick feet and direct running make him exciting to watch.

Why does Liverpool like Rayan and Bournemouth value him highly?
Liverpool believes Rayan could become one of the Premier League’s top young forwards in the future. He already looks comfortable against strong defenders and does not seem afraid of big matches. Another important detail is his physical strength.
Young players like Andrey Santos and Valentin Barco also came from South America to the Premier League. But Rayan seems to be a rare talent, he adapts the atmosphere very efficiently. He stays balanced during challenges and keeps moving forward even under pressure.
That mix of skill, speed and strength makes him special. Reds fans will be happy to see his direct running style and always ready to attack defenders with pace. Still, signing him will not be easy. Bournemouth know they have a very talented player and they do not want to lose him quickly. As per Transfer News Live, his contract includes a release clause worth around €100 million. That is a huge amount of money for a teenager.

The Cherries hold a strong position in Rayan’s talks
Liverpool must now decide if they are ready to spend so much on a player with limited experience in England. The club usually likes signing players who have already proven themselves for several seasons. Paying such a large fee for a young winger would be a bold move. The Reds may see Rayan as a long-term replacement before his valuation rises even further.

Bournemouth should keep him for another season and continue helping his development. That could give Rayan more time to grow without extra pressure. For now, Liverpool’s interest shows just how highly the young winger is rated. If he keeps improving at the same speed, many fans may soon see him as one of the brightest young stars in English football.
