Mohamed Salah has released an explosive statement after Liverpool's 4-2 defeat against Aston Villa on Friday night. The Egyptian has one game left in the red shirt but isn't going out quietly.

Taking to X on Saturday afternoon, the 33-year-old has given his honest thoughts on how the Reds have played this season and what he wants to see when he departs in the summer.
The most damning part of the statement for Arne Slot is that Salah claims heavy metal football 'cannot be negotiable' at Anfield. He posted:
"Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it."
