Liverpool set asking price for 'quality' star Arne Slot has barely used - report

All eyes will be on the players that Liverpool sign this summer to fix areas of the squad that are lacking, but there are set to be some exits on the cards too.

Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson are confirmed to be leaving the Reds at the end of the season, with the next steps in their careers yet to be decided.

They may not be the only ones to make way for an injection of energy in the team, with one Arne Slot outcast's future at Liverpool already seemingly set.

Liverpool set Federico Chiesa transfer price

One of those almost certainly destined to leave Liverpool this summer is Federico Chiesa, having struggled to make any impact since joining the club.

The 28-year-old joined from Juventus back in 2024 for what appeared to be a bargain transfer fee of £12.5 million, but his lack of minutes has been startling.

Continued injury struggles have been clear, but this season, Slot has used him sparingly as he has featured for just 726 minutes across all competitions.

With a move back to Italy seemingly on the cards, Calciomercato reports that Liverpool have set out their stance on any exit with a clear valuation for clubs that are looking to make an offer over the summer months.

It's claimed that €20-25 million (£17.5-21.8 million) would be enough to confirm a switch, though it's also said that "lower offers" may be considered.

Seeing as Chiesa is two years into his four-year deal at Anfield, his amortised value on the financial books sits at roughly £6.25 million, meaning any offer accepted over that figure will be registered as a profit.

The Italian star has been described as "quality" for both club and country in his career to date, but his struggles in Merseyside have coincided with his inability to find form after severe injury concerns.

Napoli and Juventus have been linked as possible destinations for Chiesa, but it remains to be seen whether a deal will be possible at the figures Liverpool and the player will be after.

Who else could leave Liverpool this summer?

Curtis Jones

Liverpool's balancing act in the market will extend beyond the exits of Salah, Robertson, and Chiesa, as other players could be on their way out to make room for further arrivals.

Alisson Becker continues to be rumoured with interest from Juventus, as the goalkeeper enters the final year of his contract with the Reds.

Beyond him, Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez have been linked with transfers away, as both players also have deals at Anfield that only run until 2027.

Then there awaits interest in those on the fringes, as Harvey Elliott, Calvin Ramsay, and Rhys Williams could all make way to raise further funds.

It remains to be seen what happens beyond that, but the Liverpool squad is in need of a refresh, and one that cannot carry any passengers at this stage.
