The newspaper states that it is a case of ‘Alisson or little else’ this summer. Manager Luciano Spaletti has clear ideas about who he wants in his goal next season.
He wants to ensure that Juventus make a leap in quality this summer, not improve slightly. The belief is that the Liverpool goalkeeper can provide that.
But the focus is really on the cost of the operation. If he was available for a ‘symbolic fee’, in other words not the €10-15m that’s been quoted in recent months, then the transfer could become a reality. If that doesn’t happen, he will remain a story that is ‘destined to never materialise’.
Juventus already have other options on their list. Fiorentina’s David de Gea is the Plan B, despite him turning 36 on November 7th.
Fiorentina would like him to stay for another two seasons. But Juventus intend to speak to the Spanish to discuss his salary and a potential move to Turin this summer. The Italians have also been offered goalkeeper Noah Atubolu.

The question is whether Liverpool let him leave. They’re already losing Andy Robertson and Mohamed Salah this summer. Even Virgil van Dijk has been linked with a potential move to Türkiye.
Alisson has a year left on his deal after the Reds secured him to a new deal earlier this year. That means a decision has to be made about him this summer. But Juventus seemingly want to pay a nominal fee, which might not fit with the Reds plans for the Brazilian.
