It has been an unsettling season for everyone connected to Liverpool Football Club.
The performances on the pitch have been far from what is expected, but it is what has been happening off the pitch that has been the real area of concern.

Mohamed Salah has been at the forefront of much of the controversy throughout the campaign, with his bombshell interview back in December.
Statements such as the club has thrown him under the bus and that his relationship with Arne Slot was completely broken set the ball rolling.
His eventual decision to depart Liverpool this summer after nine years spent with the club stems from the fallout behind the scenes.
Yesterday was his latest reaction to what was going on this season, with a small snippet of it here:
“I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.”
The rest of his statement you can read here.
There is something admirable about a departing player putting out such a strong message in this way because it shows how much he loves the club and cares about the path it takes once he leaves.
But on the other hand, leaving another message publicly expressing distaste at your current manager’s tyle of play leaves a sour taste in the mouth.
With that being said, Mohamed Salah is still seen as a pillar of the dressing room and a vital member of the team.
His teammates look up to him, and his post on his social media platforms today confirms that the team is still very much united.
Amidst the fallout of yesterday’s statement, Mohamed Salah has today posted an image of himself, Dominik Szoboszlai, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez enjoying what appears to be a meal at a restaurant.
Szoboszlai and Kerkez know each other well from being international teammates but have been seen on multiple occasions enjoying themselves off the pitch with Mohamed Salah this season.
Many within the club will be hoping that when Mohamed Salah does depart Anfield, as well as Andy Robertson, that other players can step up and become the leaders within the dressing room because the example that the pair set will be sorely missed.
