Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has moved to play down Ousmane Dembele injury concerns just weeks before the Champions League final against Arsenal. The Gunners are watching on, with their own battle for silverware in the Premier League, as the Parisiens sweat over the Ballon d'Or-winning forward.

The 29-year-old was withdrawn inside half-an-hour during their derby with Paris FC. Initial reports suspected that Dembele was forced off with an apparent thigh injury and following his substitution, he headed straight down the tunnel.

Dembele's potential issue has sparked concerns less than two weeks out from the Champions League final in Budapest.

Arsenal supporters will be watching on for updates with intent having seen the former Barcelona forward down Liverpool and Bayern Munich on course to the elite European showpiece.

Enrique said: "I have nothing to say about Ousmane, we'll have to wait until tomorrow. I think it's just fatigue.

"What we can talk about today is just speculation. But I don't think it's very serious, we'll know more tomorrow."

The attacker's injury has come at the worst possible time as the curtain come down on the Ligue 1 season on Sunday.

PSG suffered a last-gasp defeat to their city rivals after a 94th-minute winner from Alimani Gory earned bragging rights for Paris FC.

However, the league was already wrapped up for the Parisiens, and now they have 12 days of preparation before taking on Arsenal at the Puskas Arena.

Meanwhile for Arsenal, they are two wins away from ending their wait to return back to the top of the Premier League.

Monday sees the Gunners' travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley before travelling to Crystal Palace where they hope to get their hands on the prize.

Whether the French giants will have behind-closed-doors friendlies at that time remains to be seen, in order to allow a tune-up for their stars.

The PSG boss offered an inkling to how their preparations will look for the next 12 days. He said: "We're going to try to do everything: rest, physically and mentally, but also work.

"We're going to play a small match amongst ourselves next weekend and we're going to try to increase our football workload a bit."
