Wolves manager Rob Edwards has claimed Mateus Mane will ‘100 percent’ be staying at Molineux this summer, amid interest from Liverpool.
Mane has been bottom-placed Wolves‘ standout player this season, despite being just 18 years old and surrounded by a struggling squad.
Thanks to his performances, This Is Anfield understood in February that Liverpool, Newcastle and Brentford were all interested in the young attacker.
However, Wolves boss Rob Edwards has bluntly now claimed that he will be going nowhere this summer.

Asked by BBC Sport where the player’s form leaves him next season, the manager replied: “With us.”
The reporter followed up by asking if that was “100 percent” for sure, to which Edwards said: “Yeah, he’ll be with us.”
Despite the coach’s comments, Wolves may have their hands forced due to relegation from the Premier League.
Reports have suggested a drop in their price tag to around £30 million, though it remains to be seen if that would be of interest to those at Anfield.
A quick attacker who can play across the front line, particularly on the wings, is what Liverpool need this summer.

Following Wolves‘ 1-1 draw against Fulham, Edwards reflected on Mane’s season as a whole:
“People will pick up on the just the goals. Initially, quite early on, he got a couple of goals, important ones against West Ham and Everton.
“So people almost expect him then to just be able to continue to do that. It’s really difficult at this level, especially for a teenager.
“We’re really pleased with him. THeyre’s ognna be ups and downs, there’s gonna be lots for him to learn, but he’s got a great attitude.
“I thought overall his performance today was really good. He worked tirelessly, he was really committed.
“The exiting thing is he’s not the finished article – he’s not going to be at his age – so there’s a lot there to work with still.”
While it would be a considerable risk to place complete faith in Mane, he could be a good option for the Reds as an additional young attacker to develop.
Bradley Barcola and Yan Diomande are the other names being linked to Liverpool, though the latter has recently suggested he will be remaining at RB Leipzig.
