A documentary looking back at Liverpool's historic 2005 Champions League final win has landed on Netflix. The Reds found themselves 3-0 down AC Milan at half-time in Istanbul after a nightmare opening 45 minutes.
Liverpool were behind in the first minute after Paolo Maldini's opener followed by two goals from Hernan Crespo just before half-time. Six minutes in the second half changed everything and led to one of the greatest comebacks in football history. Steven Gerrard, Vladimir Smicer and Xabi Alonso scored in a hectic period to bring Liverpool level.
The Reds went on to win the Champions League on penalties and lifted the trophy for a fifth time.
A new documentary episode, Untold UK: Liverpool's Miracle of Istanbul, relives the unforgettable night when the club took home the UEFA Champions League trophy. The episode was exclusively released on Netflix today (May 19), featuring Jamie Carragher, Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Rafa Benitez, Xabi Alonso, Didi Hamman, Jerzy Dudek and more.
