Juventus seem to be making quick progress over a move for Liverpool’s Alisson and a deal is now taking shape.
The goalkeeper got a new deal at Anfield in March but an exit is on the cards.
Sport Witness have covered how the Brazil international is now keen on a move to Juventus. He wants to reunite with Luciano Spalletti in Turin, with the two having shared the dressing room at Roma.
Personal terms were not expected to be a problem between the two parties. Liverpool’s stance was causing a hold-up and with time, that seems be changing.
Diplomatic talks held
TuttoSport report Alisson has ‘committed himself’ to Juve completely. He respects Liverpool a lot for how they have changed his career but feels this is the right time to move on.
He’s agreed terms over a three-year deal worth €4.5m per season. The next step will be an agreement with Liverpool.
Things are now slowly changing. Liverpool had initially closed the door to letting the veteran leave. Soon, Alisson held diplomatic talks about seeking an exit and those discussions went smoothly.
As a result, Arne Slot’s side are much more open to letting Alisson depart. They want €15m to let him leave.
Move can help Alisson
The Italian media seem to be going over the top but a move to Juve should help Alisson. With Mattia Perin and Michele Di Gregorio leaving, he should be their first-choice between the sticks.
Even if they Juve may not qualify for the Champions League, Spalletti’s presence will be key. He has previously over-performed at Napoli, Roma and Inter, leaving every chance the same could happen in Turin.
He can guarantee the club silverware, which will be another positive for Alisson. The current Bianconeri squad has a young spine. This will make the 33-year-old a dressing room leader.
Even if he can earn much more with a move to Saudi Arabia, Juve will allow him to play his last few years at the highest level.
