The 36-year-old Juventus fan who was seriously injured in clashes before Sunday's Turin derby is in a stable condition in the city's Molinette hospital, sources said on Monday.
The man, an accountant by the name of Marco Leonardo Basoccu, according to daily newspaper La Stampa, suffered a fractured skill after being hit by a blunt object, probably a bottle, and had surgery on Sunday.
Four police officers were also injured in the clashes, which caused the kick-off of the match between Torino and Juventus to be delayed by an hour.
Juve fans had called for the game to be postponed.
Torino came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 although, because the match started late, Juventus knew from half time they would not qualify for the Champions League even with a win because of how other results went.
