A star linked to Nottingham Forest and others like one formerly of Leeds United are also bound for exiting Celtic.
A report has claimed five Celtic stars will be on the move this summer - as two more aces appear on the agenda.
Martin O’Neill has guided the Hoops to a Premiership and Scottish Cup double but much change is expected in Glasgow’s east end. A permanent boss for the long term is needed and a recruitment overhaul is set to take place after a turbulent season, that while it ended in success, was chaotic in stages. That will also come with exits like Kasper Schmeichel, with the former Leeds United and ex Leicester City star set to go, amid a serious shoulder injury.
Nottingham Forest and Lazio have been linked to midfielder Arne Engels and he’s another likely to leave, according to the Herald. Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda and Paulo Bernardo are others to follow the Nottingham Forest target and former Leeds United man out the door. Striker Kasper Hogh, goalkeeper Jari De Busser and attacking midfielder Jakob Breum meanwhile could come in the way.

Who will leave Celtic this summer and who could they sign in the transfer window?
Reporting states: “Celtic have resurrected their interest in January transfer targets Kasper Hogh and Jakob Breum. The new permanent manager’s first job will be to sign off on a list of targets drawn up by the club’s recruitment team since January.
“Danish striker Hogh drew strong interest in the winter window, with Bodo/Glimt’s Champions League heroics driving up the price. Parkhead scouts have also continued to monitor the form of Go Ahead Eagles playmaker Breum after a number of unsuccessful bids in January.
“Go Ahead have also been made aware of a tentative interest from Celtic in their Belgian goalkeeper Jari De Busser. As well as Schmeichel the likes of Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Arne Engels, Paulo Bernardo are expected to spearhead a long list of exits.”
Will Kasper Schmeichel play football again?
Schmeichel has admitted his career could be over due to the extensive nature of his shoulder issue. He said: "It's a bit of a body blow. I've torn the bicep, torn the rotator cuff, dislocated the shoulder, torn the labrum -- everything's kind of gone. It's looking like 10-12 months of rehab.
"You don't really know how to react to this. I could have potentially played my last ever football game. I've been a footballer since the day I was born. That kind of thought is devastating. It's very, very hard to wrap my head around at the moment. My mind is like, 'OK, I'm going to give it absolutely everything I can to see if I can get back'," he said. It would be probably one of the greatest feats of my career if I could get back from an injury like this. I'm going to fight, I'm going to try everything I can."
