Wolves won’t stand in way for summer exit – Frontrunners plan to ‘circumvent financial hurdle’

Wolverhampton Wanderers‘ Jackson Tchatchoua is attracting interest from Italy for the summer.

The right-back joined Wolves in August 2025, after spending two years at Hellas Verona.

Operating mainly as a right wing-back, he played 2,185 minutes from 36 matches for Wolves.

Last December, Sport Witness relayed news of Juventus and Inter Milan looking at him for the winter market. The English club considered sanctioning a move in January, but the interested parties didn’t make concrete advances.

The Premier League side drop out of the top flight after finishing bottom of the table this season.

Following their relegation, we covered claims from Italy that the 24-year-old could return to Serie A in the summer. There’s belief Wolves, who requested €10m in January, would accept a lower fee.

Torino leading race for Wolves man

Africa Foot pick up on that and state several Italian clubs are showing keen interest in Jackson Tchatchoua. The report also talks about the English club’s stance on him.

Torino get a mention and are now the frontrunners to sign the Belgium-born Cameroon international.

The Serie A side have closely monitored the Wolves player for a long time and know both his profile and entourage well. They can bring him back to Italy, if the fullback and Rob Edwards’ side give the green light.

Wolves have to reshape their squad in the upcoming window and therefore, ‘won’t oppose’ his exit if there’s a convincing offer.

As things stand, Italy seems to be his next destination, where the Turin club are keen. To ‘circumvent the financial hurdle’, Torino plan to sign Tchatchoua on loan with an option to buy.

This allows them to sign their long-term target without impacting the budget. The move also helps the player revive his career, to maintain his place in the national team.

Contract, value and agent info

Jackson Tchatchoua has a contract at Molineux until 2030 and is now valued at €12m by Transfermarkt.
