According to reports, the ex-Wolves man’s three year deal contains a clause that allows the Hammers to sack him without paying compensation.
However, fresh reports from the Guardian on Tuesday morning have emerged, claiming that some members of the West Ham hierarchy want Nuno to remain at the club for next season.
The reports also explain that a decision over what will happen with Nuno’s future will be made over the next couple of days.
If Nuno does depart West Ham, they will be on the lookout for the fifth manager in two years.
And amid the reports over Nuno’s future, another former Wolves boss is said to be on a potential list of replacements.
Gary O’Neil, who led Strasbourg into the last four of the Europa Conference League - is one name potentially in the frame, alongside ex-West Ham midfielder Scott Parker.
