Club officially release new kit hours after images leaked online.
Villa are heading back to the 1960s after unveiling their new home kit.
The design honours what manufacturer Adidas describes as the “more unconventional concepts” from that era, with a mainly claret shirt replacing the traditional claret body with sky blue sleeves.
Villa officially launched the kit on Tuesday morning with a short film parody of a 60s Pathe newsreel starring manager Unai Emery, who appears dressed in period costume.
Several first-team players including Matty Cash and captain John McGinn also feature, along with European Cup-winning skipper Dennis Mortimer.
Supporters had already been given a glimpse of the new design, the club’s third by Adidas, after images appeared overnight on the company’s Australian website.
The new shirt features three Adidas stripes in sky blue across the shoulders. It will be available to buy from 9am on Thursday morning.
Images of the new kit have appeared without a sponsor, with Villa still to announce a successor to Betano.
The online betting firm has been the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor for the last two seasons but must be replaced this summer due to new Premier League rules around the advertising of gambling companies.
