More talks with Iraola
So, Milan are looking for a new manager. Several names have been floated, but the hottest one right now remains Andoni Iraola, the manager currently leaving Bournemouth. According to Sky (via MilanNews), after discussions in recent days, a new meeting between Ibrahimovic and Iraola.
This face-to-face discussion – after in-person talks that have already taken place – is expected to occur in London in the next few hours. His name isn’t the only one on Milan’s shortlist: Xavi, Thiago Motta, Unai Emery and Vincenzo Italiano are also being evaluation.
Yesterday, Antonio Conte was also linked with the job as he has been many times before. However, he’s not the right name for the current moment as the owners have provided guidelines for the new era.
More specifically, they want a ‘Fabregas-style’ coach who plays attacking, proactive football and who develops the players at their disposal.
