As reported, the proposals were given the green light last Friday by the authority’s eastern BCP planning committee.
With work underway on the enabling works, with those plans approved in January, it is full steam ahead for the club’s project to expand the ground.
Peter Lamb, head of Wimborne planning at Savills, spoke at the meeting as part of the delegation from the applicant, alongside president of business operations at AFC Bournemouth, Jim Frevola.

Mr Lamb said: “We’re delighted that the plans for the redevelopment of Vitality Stadium have been approved in principle by BCP Council following significant support from local residents, businesses and from the BCP Planning Department itself.
“We’ve been proud to support AFC Bournemouth as one of the lead consultants as the Premier League football club seeks to carry out the largest expansion of the Stadium in its history.
“This is an extremely important milestone and a significant step forward for the club and local community.
“We will continue to work closely with AFC Bournemouth and the Council to deliver the works. It’s a project I’m personally very proud to have been a part of.
“We’d also like to congratulate the club on its successful season and for reaching European football for the first time in the club’s history!”
