Newcastle United and Eddie Howe will now have full focus on the summer transfer window after the curtain closed on a disappointing domestic campaign. While the Magpies progressed in the Champions League and Carabao cup, the Toon were disappointing in the top flight and won't play European football next season.
The club are in need of a rebuild this summer in an attempt to rediscover the form that made them one of the country's most feared teams. New sporting director Ross Wilson is set for his first major transfer window in charge of the Magpies and Newcastle have already been linked with several high profile stars.
With that in mind, Chronicle Live has taken a look at the latest Newcastle United transfer news and speculation as we head into the summer.
Talks begin for Man City star
Fabrizio Romano claims Newcastle are keen on signing Manchester City winger Savinho this summer, but Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur have opened talks to sign the Brazilian.
The two parties were in talks last summer before City chose not to sell the 22-year-old. Roberto De Zerbi is said to be pushing to sign Savinho, who is also reportedly open to a move to Spurs this summer.
Chronicle Live says: "Newcastle are expected to part ways with Anthony Gordon this summer, which means they'll have to reinforce the squad in wide areas of the pitch. However, the winger scored just four goals in 35 appearances and isn't the most prolific in comparison to Gordon's end product. It's one to keep an eye on nonetheless."

Jarrod Bowen sends clear Newcastle hint
Jarrod Bowen has been repeatedly linked with a move to Newcastle United throughout his career, with the Magpies keen on signing the winger from Hull City prior to his move to West Ham. He's been a standout performer for the Hammers in recent years, but their relegation to the Championship means there's doubts about his future in London.
In a recent statement, Bowen stopped short of committing to West Ham and said: "It's hard to post something like this when all you're feeling is embarrassment and pain. I could write loads trying to explain where it all went wrong this season. But honestly, what you deserve from me is an apology.
"Winning that trophy in Prague was the best night of my career. Sunday was the worst. We just weren't good enough. Simple as that. And that's why the season ended the way it did.

"To the fans, you didn't let us down once. The support home and away never changed, even when things weren't good enough from us on the pitch. We should have given you more. You deserved more.
"One thing I know about this club is that it has the desire and fight to bounce back from this. This club belongs in the Premier League and deserves to be back there as soon as possible."
Chronicle Live says: "Much like Savinho, Newcastle are likely to be in the transfer market for a winger this summer and Bowen is a player that has been admired by those at St. James' Park for some time. At 29-years-old, he's approaching the latter stages of his career, but he's still a huge talent and has plenty of threat in the final third."
