**Aaron Wan-Bissaka sadly won’t be a player many will be devastated to see depart east London this summer.**
It’s been a rather sad fall from grace for the former Manchester United defender, who only last season was crowned the clubs Hammer of the Year, however he certainly did not live up to the billing this campaign.
One key aspects of West Ham’s issues on the pitch that has contributed to our relegation, with the lack of character and leadership within the ranks.
Players like Wan-Bissaka were ones needing to step up and help fight for the cause – but in reality what we saw was a player nowhere near showing the commitment needed.
In fact, Wan-Bissaka at times looked disinterested and eager to get away from the club at the earliest opportunity, which appears to be the case.
It’s reported clubs are circulating, with Everton at early frontrunner – however I don’t think there will be many standing in his way, as the clear out & rebuild of West Ham begins.
It’s a shame, considering his debut season and clear ability. But Wan-Bissaka ultimately did not stand up & deliver when we really needed him too.
