According to Hammers insider ExWHUEmployee, West Ham’s board are set to effectively vote on whether Nuno Espírito Santo should remain as manager.
Updates late last night indicated the hierarchy are split over the decision, with Daniel Křetínský reportedly keen to retain Nuno following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
However, Ex also claimed that “others prefer alternatives, like Scott Parker.”
Exactly who those “others” are remains unclear.

Questions Over Who Really Holds Power
After all, it would seem strange if Vanessa Gold is heavily involved in deciding the future direction of the football club considering the family are still expected to sell their shares.
One would expect Albert “Tripp” Smith to have some involvement in the process, but it also raises the question of whether Sullivan’s sons, Jack and David Jr, are influencing the decision too given their positions on the board.
A final decision is expected within the next couple of days and, honestly, the outcome may tell supporters quite a lot about who truly holds the power behind the scenes at the London Stadium.
Křetínský Position Appears To Have Changed
Interestingly, Křetínský now appears to have shifted significantly from his earlier stance regarding Nuno.
Earlier this season, reports suggested the Czech billionaire voted against the Portuguese manager’s appointment following Graham Potter’s departure.
Now, according to ExWHUEmployee, he has been left “highly impressed” by Nuno’s work since taking charge.
However, having spoken to a source with good contacts inside the club this morning, Claret & Hugh were told:
“I still think Nuno will leave. Sullivan wants him gone.”
At the moment, it increasingly feels like West Ham’s next managerial decision may come down to which power bloc wins the argument internally. The patients are still running the asylum.
