As excitement builds to see us in all our glory on European football’s biggest stage, adidas has unveiled the [Official Match Ball](https://www.adidas.co.uk/football-balls) for the UEFA Champions League Final in Budapest, with a design that brings the spirit of the host city to the game’s grandest occasion.
With Budapest on the horizon, it marks a defining moment for the club. Runners-up in 2006, we are seeking to become the 25th club to lift the trophy, with supporters around the world coming together to back us on European football’s biggest stage.
Drawing inspiration from Budapest’s identity as “Buda and Pest - a Tale of Two Cities”, the football reflects the contrast and harmony that define the Hungarian capital. Historic architecture meets vibrant nightlife, classical elegance meets contemporary energy all translated into a striking visual language befitting a Champions League final.
The football features a standout purple metallic base with a finish that subtly changes depending on the light and movement, while the iconic white star panels keep a clean, sharp look and the layered purple detailing adds depth between them.
The design takes inspiration from Budapest’s Art Nouveau style, combining flowing shapes and bright accents that reflect the city’s rivers, bridges and nightlife.
Lion and dragon graphics, inspired by local symbols, are also integrated to represent strength and pride, while bold yellow adidas and UEFA Champions League logos provide clear visibility on the pitch.
Beyond aesthetics, this football meets the highest standards of elite performance. Featuring adidas’ proven thermally bonded, seamless construction, the Official Match Ball delivers exceptional accuracy, consistency, and control - engineered for the speed, precision and intensity of a UEFA Champions League final.
